Monash University International Students Service (MUISS) is a division of the Monash Student Association and represents the interests of international students. MUISS offers a lounge (on level 1 of the Campus Centre), professional advice, international newspapers and inexpensive faxing facilities. MUISS also runs a large number of affordable social activities throughout the year with the premier event being the Multicultural Festival in August. MUISS Events 2008 Nominations for MUISS Executive Committee Positions will open at 9:00 AM on Monday, 11th August until 5:00 PM,Friday August 22nd, 2008. Balloting for the MUISS Election will start on Monday, September 1st to Wednesday, September 2rd, 2008, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. MUISS Events 2007 1. English Conversation Program MUISS (International Student Service) is currently looking for participants and volunteers for the student run English Conversation Program to spare one hour a week. This program aims to help international or local students who come from non-English speaking backgrounds develop conversational skills in English and forge new friendships. This is not academic English but a fun way to practice conversing in English with games, demonstrations and roleplays. Please drop by the MUISS lounge, 1st floor Campus Centre to sign up.
